I miss life before COVID-19, especially attending live events. The homie Vanilla Ice headlined an I Love the 90s Tour that featured Rob Base, Coolio, Kid ‘n Play, and a few others, and I refused to miss them when they played Cooley Law Stadium. For the first hour of the show, I was trying to figure out if there was more perfume, beer, weed or waving hands in the air. I never came to conclusion. Eventually I was able to ignore the conflicting aromas and just enjoy the performances.
Rob Base was one of my favorites of the night. He performed a brief medley of favorites for his diehard fans before rocking the crowd with his hit “Joy and Pain”. The packed stadium erupted for his closing track, the smash Hip Hop classic “It Takes Two”. Rob rhymed his beloved verses and let the audience sing the chorus. It was awesome. |THIS.
