I was so mad when my favorite Pop Evil t-shirt got a hole in it. The shirt was special because it was comfortable and, most importantly, it came from my longtime friend Leigh – the bands founder and lead singer. He gave it to me backstage at The Machine Shop after their second night of 2 consecutive sold-out shows there. I miss seeing him and the band. I also miss going to epic live shows before COVID.

The last time I saw Leigh and Pop Evil was another sold-out concert, when their acoustic tour played The Loft in Lansing, MI in 2019. I was excited to catch up with my homie and watch another great show. They’re one of my favorite bands to see in person. I was equally excited to walk into the venue and see their merch table. Sadly, I won’t see their spread of goods, the band, or any other entertainer at The Loft ever again. It has since closed permanently. An unfortunate casualty of the pandemic. |THIS.
