It is a blessing when remarkable people that I admire make time for me to interview them. Those conversations are reflections of us both, that’s why it matters what I ask.
One of the people I was blessed to speak with was platinum-selling R&B singer Bobby V!
During our interview about his success as a solo artist I asked him this GOOD QUESTION: Does your family support your music career?
Bobby V answered, “They’re just as much excited for me as I am! They’ve been with me through the journey. They’ve always stood by me and my decisions, and all the things I’ve wanted to do.
I didn’t really know I could sing as good as I could until I started finding myself throughout the years. I just started getting better and better. The more I did it, the more I started to write, the better I did it. The more I produced, the better I did it. [I] just all around I got better.
Family is so important because if I didn’t have that support from them, I probably wouldn’t even still be doing it now.
They were definitely there for the support when I was down like, ‘It’s not happening for me.’ They were there to say it will be okay, and to keep going. That support from people that really love you goes a long way.” | By Mr. Joe Walker
