I’ve never quite understood why skaters are treated as vandals. Their art is environmental and representative of self-improvement, and whenever they make an appearance it’s to test the limits of their skills as stylishly as possible. Yet, so often, they’re vilified for skating through public places. What would be better than threats, gravely dirty looks, and dismissals from the grounds is an impromptu appreciative audience that’s as rewarding as nailing a trick they’ve possibly hurt themselves practicing. Skaters can’t be that infuriating. Wish them luck, not death. |THIS.
