There were a number of creative people in and around Lansing and East Lansing, MI who were looking for somewhere they felt comfortable performing. They wanted a place free from judgement and critical critiques, but heavy on acceptance and listening ears.
These creatives found that at The Mic Drop, a widely acclaimed open mic series presented weekly at MI Blue Owl Coffee in East Lansing by All of the Above HipHop Academy.
Usually hosted every Wednesday night by poet, AOTA Creative member, and Vision Success Marketing & Consulting CEO Alexis Rosado, it’s a safe space for all creatives to get on the mic, perform, show their stuff.
Due to the current global circumstances, The Mic Drop is on hiatus for everyone’s safety.
However, for those who miss their Wednesday nights at Blue Owl, and for those creatives still longing for that safe place for their voices and talents to be heard, The Mic Drop evolved into a for-the-times digital version! Alexis and her team did a great job putting it together! All the performers who participated were also great!
Just know there’s still a safe space to get on the mic, perform, and show your stuff! |THIS.
