If you were at Art Attack for the kickoff of Below The Stacks, then you may have watched the breaking workshop conducted by breakers Ant and B-Boy Young One of AOTA Creative. Your kids may have participated.

They were given an opportunity to express themselves to music in front of an encouraging audience while also learning a few fundamental techniques of breaking. For the short amount of time they invested and the skills they were taught, they had the confidence to use those in an impromptu performance. And they had fun too.

That workshop was a great sample of what our “Breaking 101” classes are about.

Breaking is a beloved element of the culture, and it’s one that’s made a positive impact on lives all over the world and right here in our city. Breaking 101 is more than a place to learn dance moves. It’s a place to build confidence and have fun.  |THIS.
