For the past year we’ve been planning a project with Marble Elementary’s Diversity and Equity committee.
The project consisted of a kick-off assembly featuring Scorpion, Alexis Rosado, James Gardin, and Ozay Moore, the creation of a mural facilitated by our friends Muralmatics and Maddison Chaffer, and a series of freestyle dance workshops led by Scorpion.
Although we hardly made it through the first phase of the project due to the implementation of social distancing on March 13, 2020, our time with the students and staff at Marble was incredible.
Thank you Simón Pollo Pasa, Alissa Cohen and the rest of the Marble team for having us. We appreciate the strong community you’ve built for the youth you serve.
Although there are many questions about the future, we are certain of the quality of partners we have here in the Capital City. Your love and care for your students are reflected upon fondly in these uncertain times. |THIS.
