Known previously as Kana, Asuka had already established a remarkable, considered by some legendary career before debuting in NXT in 2015 using her current moniker. During her time with WWE’s development brand, Asuka became the longest reigning NXT Women’s Champion in history. The record stands as 510 days.
Since being promoted to WWE main roster, Asuka stood undefeated for 914 days, won the first ever Women’s Royal Rumble match, won the prestigious Money In The Bank match, won the Smackdown Women’s Champion, a 3-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, and reigned as Raw Women’s Champion twice.
At WrestleMania 39 Asuka will challenge Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair for a chance to hold the title for a third time.
