The winner of the 2023 Royal Rumble match, Cody earned a title opportunity against champion Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39 but came up short in their memorable main event clash.
On January 27, 2024, Cody became only the 4th WWE Superstar to win back-to-back Royal Rumble matches, securing a highly anticipated championship rematch with Reigns at WrestleMania 40.
