Never shying away from his issues with mental health, Kingston speaks openly and honestly about his personal challenges. AEW fans feverishly chant his name in support of his words, in-ring moves, and ability to overcome his struggles. They yell their love in high doses, which propelled him to capture two of his current titles – the Ring of Honor (ROH) World Championship and the New Japan Pro Wrestling Strong Openweight Championship.
At AEW’s Worlds End pay-per-view on December 30, 2023, Kingston defeated his real-life friend Jon Moxley in the finals of the promotion’s inaugural Continental Classic Tournament. For this victory he was awarded AEW’s newly minted Continental Championship, making Kingston a Triple Crown Champion in three of the five most prominent wrestling promotions in the world.
