Best of 2019 Review: Kelly Clarkson “Meaning Of Life Tour” at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, MI

It was freezing cold outside Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, MI on February 14, 2019. Inside, music superstar Kelly Clarkson was delivering both chills and warmth to thousands of her adoring Valentines.

Clarkson’s “Meaning Of Life Tour” was the hottest ticket in West Michigan’s largest city on Valentine’s Day. The multiplatinum-selling Grammy-winner could feel the love in the arena as the crowd stayed hot throughout her set.

Strutting a catwalk that stretched into the audience, Clarkson stayed close to her fans all night. Appropriately opening with her heartfelt debut single “Moment Like This” from her first album ‘Thankful’, the inaugural ‘American Idol’ winner transitioned into “Meaning of Life”, the soulful title track of her current album. From there she continued a music journey of mega hits and favorites that played like a Valentine’s Day singalong.

Kelly Clarkson and everyone on hand sang their hearts out to her closing number “Since You’ve Been Gone”.

Before Clarkson took the stage her new protégé, ‘The Voice’ season 14 winner Brynn Cartelli, opened then night with a very impressive showing. She was followed by a strong set from Kelsea Ballerini. The ovations they received was certainly full of love. | THIS
