What did restaurant El Burrito Mexicano in Lansing, MI and MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ have in common on April 7, 2019?
There wasn’t an empty seat in the building during WWE WrestleMania 35.
Professional wrestling promoter and media personality “Big Time” Rigo Flores hosted a viewing a party at El Burrito that was loads of fun. The antics and laughter in the packed house enhanced the excitement of WrestleMania 35 which was shown in the restaurant via streaming service WWE Network.
Rigo kept everyone engaged and energized during the near 8 hour broadcast – its preshow plus the main card. With everyone in the gambling mood, bets were being placed on each match and how they’d end.
The night’s food was also on the money. Pizza, drinks, desserts, and delicious entrees from El Burrito’s menu were being served throughout the viewing party. The special of the day, however, was a side of video game Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on the Nintendo Switch. With the gaming console set up on another TV, many on hand were taking beatings at the same time as the professional wrestlers on TV.
While reactions to many of the matches varied, everyone leapt from their seats when Kofi Kingston pinned Daniel Bryan to become WWE Champion. It was certainly the most anticipated match on the card, and you could feel the tension in the room as the match progressed. Everyone wanted to witness Kofi crowned after 11 years in WWE. Each time it appeared he might lose, with every split-second kickout from a near 3-count pin attempt, every person in the room would jump as though they were watching the scariest horror movie ever. It was awesome.
Once the Triple Threat main event of Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair vs Ronda Rousey concluded, Rigo thanked everyone for coming out to El Burrito Mexicano for the viewing party. Each person left smiling, their stomachs full, and looking forward to WrestlaMania 36. |THIS
