The future is going to happen whether we we’re watching it or not.
WWE programming has been a weekly staple in my household since I was a child. If I stopped watching their shows for the next 30 years, I believe if I returned to it after 3 decades, I’d be just in time to watch Bianca Belair get inducted into the Hall of Fame.
A native of Knoxville, Tennessee, the super athletic Belair emerged as a breakout star in WWE’s popular Florida-based NXT promotion.
Confidently and charismatically referring to herself as “the EST of WWE”, Belair made a cameo appearance at WrestleMania 36 in 2020.
One year later she won the Royal Rumble match, which earned her a trip to WrestleMania 37: Night 1 on April 10 to challenge Sasha Banks for the WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship.
Belair has potential to be an all-time great in-ring performer. Let’s also acknowledge her potential to follow the footsteps of Macho Man Randy Savage, The Rock, John Cena, and Sasha Banks in becoming a star entertainer and role model beyond the ring.
Whether we’re watching or not, Bianca Belair is the future of WWE. Let’s be honest, though, she’s way too entertaining not to watch. |THIS.
