A Nigerian superhero fairy, Feyi Fay will travel anywhere in the world to help a child in need.
When a Nigerian legend came to life in an English boy’s living room, the glittery heroin was off to England to aid the young lad. After receiving word that fellow superhero Captain Nosa had gone missing in Costa Rica, Feyi Fay made her way to Central America to solve the mystery and spread a little magic in the process.
The product of Teni & Tayo Creations and born from the genius mind of the company’s founder, CEO and lead author, Simisayo Brownstone, Feyi Fay is the star of a book series rooted in African folktales and legends that are paired with positive messages to children.
A vibrantly drawn character with an inviting smile, the fairy’s fantasies deal with real life issues that children face. Though she uses magic and enchanted items to thwart monsters, Feyi Fay employs her loving heart to help defeat everyday fears and self-doubt.
Brownstone, a Nigerian native residing in Los Angeles, created Feyi Fay to fill a representation need for her daughters. The first book in the series, ‘Feyi Fay and the Case of the Mysterious Madam Koi Koi’ was released in 2018. It’s much-celebrated cliffhanger left readers anxious for the next entry.
That highly anticipated follow-up, ‘Feyi Fay and the Disappearance of Captain Nosa’, came one year later. Both books have received high marks from fans and critics.
Admired by children and their parents alike, Feyi Fay’s quality toys and merch extends the life of the character beyond the book pages. Through the series we learn she’s a respectable character that adults are proud of and one they don’t mind having around to entertain their kids – no matter where they’re from. |THIS.
