The Royal Rumble match is a variation of the traditional Battle Royal match with a total of 30 competitors. Two WWE Superstars start in the ring, every 90 seconds thereafter another Superstar enters. A Superstar is eliminated when they’re thrown over the top rope and both feet touch the floor.
The last remaining Superstar is guaranteed a championship opportunity at WrestleMania versus the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion, WWE Universal Champion, or NXT Champion.
The 34th annual Royal Rumble happens live from the WWE ThunderDome in St. Petersburg, Florida on January 31, 2021.
I think Jey Uso should be its winner.
The son of WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi Fatu, the highflying Samoan and his twin brother Jimmy are 6-time Tag Team Champions.
In recent months Jey has flourished as a singles competitor but suffered physical and emotional pain at the hands of his forceful real-life cousin, WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
After becoming #1 contender to Roman’s title, Jey repeatedly lost to his cousin in a series of grueling matches. As punishment he was forced to fall in line behind Roman’s maniacal leadership. Often degraded while being directed to carry out Roman’s orders, a more aggressive Jey serves as a reluctant attack dog, lacky, and scapegoat. And on more than one occasion he’s underhandedly helped Roman be victorious in title defenses.
If Jey wins the Royal Rumble he would be able to challenge for the title once more and, maybe, finally, exact some revenge by defeating the abusive Roman Reigns and taking his championship away. |THIS.
