Singers/actresses Raven Symone and Sabrina Bryan along with Adrienne Bilon and Keily Williams (of pop group 3LW) together are Cheetah Girls – a singing quartet who appear in two original Disney films.
Wildly popular with the House of Mouse elementary and teen demo, adults looking for serious vocals and song writing may not enjoy this child’s play.
Here on their sophomore album and soundtrack, the Girls set the tone for their second movie; that tone being sometimes not great songs, hooks lacking creativity, and over-singing of adlibs. While children and preteens may enjoy “Step Up,” “Strut,” and Raven’s solo “Everyone’s A Star,” serious, mature listeners won’t find Cheetah Girls 2 to be their cat’s meow. | By Mr. Joe Walker
