On November 19, 2020, tournament organization Big House made an announcement stating they will be unable to host their online tournament.
This announcement sent ripples through the Smash and FGC community as the conversations spread on Twitter.
Nintendo sent a message to cease and desist to the tournament organizer. The reason giving was in part due to Slippi, a netplay modification for Super Smash Bros. Melee PC mod. The conversation with Ragnarok and Xedane was streamed live after the online tournaments.
