The lore of T’Challa aka Black Panther was built on exceptional storytelling, character development, intrigue, and awe-inspiring artwork.

Created by late icons Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, the remarkably intelligent, technologically advanced warrior king of Wakanda debuted in Marvel Comics’ Fantastic 4 #52 in 1966.

For nearly 60 years Black Panther has been one of Marvel’s most popular and respected characters, a superheroe beloved by a diverse global fandom. His popularity increased following his big screen debut in Captain America: Civil War in 2016 and it’s Oscar-winning, record-setting follow-up Black Panther in 2018.

With so much excitement surrounding its long-awaited sequel Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022), we decided to revisit the character’s comic book roots. We asked our friend and well-versed Black Panther enthusiast Gerald “G-Ride” King THIS GOOD QUESTION: What are the 5 best Black Panther comic books?

G-Ride answered, “I’ll get back to you on it. I want to make sure I ger the right ones!”

The writer, visual artist, painter, producer, recording artist, filmmaker, and Television Executive Producer of Throwed TV (Seriously, what DOESN’T G-Ride do and do well??!!!) gladly took time to consider and compile a list that answered our question.

The result, and for your viewing pleasure, is G-Ride’s well thought out, esteemed TOP 5 Black Panther Comic Books! THIS is for YOU! |THIS ENT
