The Detroit Lions need to take a nonconventional approach to hiring a new coach.
This is my proposal: Create a nationwide lottery!
Here’s how it will work. Each lottery ticket costs $25, and you can buy a maximum of 100 tickets.
The “winner” of the lottery is given a 1-year contract with the Lions as head coach. The salary they receive is the amount of money drawn by the lottery ticket sales.
Hell, if [the Lions] get two #1 NFL Draft picks in a row – and it looks like they will this year, and if John Q. Public is their coach next year when they’d probably get another pick as well, then maybe the 2022-2023 season with a real coach would yield some winning results.
I know if I won the lottery, Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford would get traded.
I would use a draft pick to replace him or the first quarterback from the XFL that called me! |THIS.
