Welcome to THIS edition of GOOD QUESTION, brought to you exclusively by THISent.com! I’m your host, “Word Heavyweight Champion” Mr. Joe Walker.
Throughout my illustrious career as an entertainment writer and journalist, I’ve been blessed with opportunities to speak with many notable and famous persons. One of those is “The Soul Violinist” Lee England Jr.
During our conversation I asked Lee THIS good question: What does it feel like to receive an ovation from thousands of people?
He answered, “It’s a feeling like no other, but it doesn’t match the intimacy of a small crowd.
I close my eyes and imagine one person is really locked into what I’m doing. and I play to them. When I open my eyes, I notice a much more captive audience. When I got the deal with Michael Jordan it was cocktail hour. No one was checking for us on stage. I got on, did my 5 minutes. By the time I was done I had everyone’s attention.
The most exciting part of the NXT experience at WWE’s NXT Takeover: Brooklyn II when I played the entrance music for Shinsuke Nakamura, was when I walked out to take my mark everyone was quiet. I was very moved by that. There was 16,000 people in there and no one uttered a word. They were all just waiting, captivated.” |THIS
