Welcome to THIS edition of GOOD QUESTION, brought to you exclusively by THISent.com! I’m your host, “Word Heavyweight Champion” Mr. Joe Walker.

Throughout my illustrious career as an entertainment writer and journalist, I’ve been blessed with opportunities to speak with many notable and famous persons. One of those multiple award-winning singer, actor, writer and producer Ne-Yo!

During our conversation I asked Ne-Yo THIS good question: Who were the artists that inspired you as both a singer and writer?

He answered, “Arists like Jodeci, Mary J. Blige and Boy II Men carried a foundation laid by Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder, and Michael Jackson. These are the singers who inspired me. These artists have made music people will never forget.

As a writer I’m wanted to write for anybody and everybody, giving them songs that were going to last for more than a summer. I saw myself being one of the people to bring back melody [and] harmony. I saw myself doing those songs, making those songs for myself that people are going to remember for years and years to come.

I’ve done that.” |THIS.
