Throughout my illustrious career as an entertainment writer and journalist, I’ve been blessed with opportunities to speak with many notable and famous persons. One of those is legendary musician, producer, and Earth Wind & Fire member Verdine White.
During our conversation I asked Verdine THIS good question: Why should children learn from and about Earth Wind & Fire?
He answered, “In terms of education, we’ve educated the people through music, establishing our presence in the music marketplace through the songs, through the lyrics, through the higher consciousness we’re trying to instill.
I don’t want [children] to be so concerned about us because it’s about music in general. But the contribution we tried to do, what Maurice [White] tried to do, was put a group together that could enlighten people, that raised and elevated consciousness. I think that’s the reason.” |THIS.
