We’ll remember 2021 as a year of triumphs and tragedies, wins and losses, and unifying optimism and aggravated division. In THIS INTERVIEW we revisit the last 12 months from the perspective of Hip Hop artist and entrepreneur Wavie P.
Always creating and elevating his music, Wavie has released a jaw-dropping amount of well-received singles including “Winter In the Summer”, “Pressure”, “Thoughts”, and “Shining Bright”. When he’s not blessing the microphone he’s busy bringing people peace, healing, and tranquility through his massage business A Better Feel.
Wavie P shared some of his thoughts with us by answering THIS questionnaire about his life in 2021 and what to expect from him in 2022.
How would you summarize 2021?
Interesting to say the least. I’ve been able to progress in many ways regardless of whatever obstacles came my way.

Yes, a variety of books; Mastery and Laws of Human Nature by Malcolm Gladwell, Prince of D.C. by Taimik Dargan – my cousin.
What was the best song of the year?
Too many for me to list, but “Late At Night” by Roddy Ricch was a vibe.
“All Night Long” by Wavie P. It’s gonna catch soon.
“The Interlude” by J. Cole.
What were the movies or television shows that you couldn’t stop watching?

Aside from that most things in the news seems pretty standard for the times we’re in.
How did you evolve over the last 12 months?
Creatively as an artist I was able to expand my skillet in various ways. From engineering all my music to creating my own cover art and still keeping a release schedule is a feat in itself.
Not to mention, my massage business exploded on its own during the pandemic. Throughout Michigan, A Better Feel is known in good circles!
In what way has the pandemic affected your outlook on life?
For me, I’ve been deeming it as a time of exposure and that can be taken in a plethora of ways. From human nature to business operations, I’ve seen numerous faces showcase their true intentions. However, it hasn’t deterred me from connecting with genuine people.
Which of your blessings would you say was the biggest?
Not having anyone close to me severely taken out by Covid.
Did you experience a defining moment?
Not yet but each day I allow myself to learn and better myself through every encounter.
