Last year was incredible for hip-hop artist Early N Da Mornin, and we’re excited for what he has in store here in 2020. A fast-rising solo act while also a member of popular group Space Crew, Early took time out his busy schedule to answer THIS questionnaire about his previous 12 months and what to expect from him in the months ahead.
THIS: How would you summarize 2019?
Early N Da Mornin: Progression. I’ve become a very versatile recording artist. And I’ve watched my stage presence, as well as my live showmanship, grow.
THIS: What was your favorite song of ‘19?
Early N Da Mornin: “EZ” by Zhavia Ward.
THIS: What was your favorite movie?
Early N Da Mornin: ‘Aladdin’. Will Smith played a great Genie.
THIS: What’s the television show you couldn’t stop watching?
Early N Da Mornin: ‘Rhythm & Flow’ I enjoyed the competition construction.
THIS: What album got the most play?
Early N Da Mornin: ‘KIRK’. DaBaby really impressed me with this album and I think all the features are solid.
THIS: What did you Google the most?
Early N Da Mornin: Dwyane Wade; it being the last year of his career and the backlash from him accepting his [son’s homosexuality].
THIS: What was the most shocking thing you heard all last year?
Early N Da Mornin: That I was ready for the limelight. I’ve always told myself I was ready. It just blew me away to hear someone else say the same.
THIS: Tell us how you evolved over the last 12 months.
Early N Da Mornin: As an Artist I’ve watched my comfort zone disappear to the point where I’m comfortable doing any type of song.
THIS: What was your biggest blessing last year?
Early N Da Mornin: Jon Roehl. Him and his label opened so many doors for me [last] year and I know 2020 is gonna be even better!
THIS: How do you teach someone to have better respect for the value of time?
Early N Da Mornin: Through actions. Examples are the best teachers.
