Last year was incredible for hip-hop artist OG Huey, and we’re excited for what he has in store here in 2020. Acclaimed by critics and music consumers, the member of popular group Space Crew took time out his busy schedule to answer THIS questionnaire about his previous 12 months and what to expect from him in the months ahead.
THIS: How would you summarize 2019?
OG Huey: 2019 for me was a lot of work my career needed. I released my first project on paid platforms, went on tour, and performed with multiple famous heads.
THIS: What was your favorite song of ‘19?
OG Huey: “NCAA” by 2 Chainz or “Famous” by Tom MacDonald
THIS: What was your favorite movie?
OG Huey: ‘Spider-Man: Far from Home’.
THIS: What’s the television show you couldn’t stop watching?
OG Huey: ‘Family Guy’.
THIS: What album got the most play?
OG Huey: ‘Rap or Go to the League’ by 2 Chainz.
THIS: What did you Google the most?
OG Huey: Words, to make sure I used them right.
THIS: What was the most shocking thing you heard all last year?
OG Huey: When I performed with Caskey I moved 51 tickets.
THIS: Tell us how you evolved over the last 12 months.
OG Huey: I gained tunnel vision for this career. And learned to appreciate what I have as well as balancing it with my personal life.
THIS: What was your biggest blessing last year?
OG Huey: I was able to release my EP on time and acquire a tour from it.
THIS: How do you teach someone to have better respect for the value of time?
OG Huey: You can’t. If you ask me, that’s something you only learn through loss.
THIS: What can we expect from you here in 2020?
