Inspiring Words: Blondes Have More Damage
One thing I’m not afraid of is change. And from that change I expect growth.
I decided to get most of my hair cut off because the blonde color that I love so much damaged my hair. I already knew it wasn’t good for me, but I tried it again anyway.
Lesson learned again: Everything that looks good to you ain’t good for you.
So now my hair is shorter and styled differently from what I’m used to. But, our hair grows and changes just like we humans do. And from that process comes new things. I’m embracing every phase of this cycle.
Women go through lots of changes with hair, especially as we age. Our hair thins, falls out, alopecia brings about receding hairlines and bald spots. Hormones, genetics, cosmetic stuff, medications, diseases, etc. all play a role as well. Try not to be boxed in with how people think you and your hair should look, or because you’ve always worn it one way you can’t try something else.
Do what works for you and what makes you comfortable, look good and feel good. And most importantly, do what’s healthy for you! No need to hang on to dead stuff.
