Welcome to Royal Rumble Countdown brought to you by THISENT.com and The Wrestling Heroes and Insiders Podcast aka The WHIP Show!

World Wrestling Entertainment’s annual Royal Rumble match is a variation of the traditional Battle Royal match. With a total of 30 competitors, two WWE Superstars start in the ring then every 90 seconds thereafter another Superstar enters. A Superstar is eliminated when they’re thrown over the top rope and both feet touch the floor.

The last remaining Superstar is guaranteed a championship opportunity at WrestleMania versus the current RAW Women’s Champion or Smackdown Women’s Champion.

The 36th annual Royal Rumble happens live from the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas on January 28, 2023.

We think Naomi should be its winner.

The former 2-time Smackdown Women’s Champion has been absent from WWE since abruptly and unexpectedly relinquishing the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

Reported to be unhappy with the company’s creative direction, she exited the company along side her tag partner Sasha Banks. Fans have been left wondering if, and when, she might return.

The Royal Rumble could be the perfect place and opportunity.

Wrestling news sources reported that, before Naomi’s walkout, she was scheduled to pin her tag partner Banks to become #1 contender for Bianca Belair’s RAW Women’s Championship. The result would have culminated in a Hell In A Cell title clash between The Glow and the EST of WWE.

In our eyes this was a missed opportunity.

Bianca and Naomi could have potentially contested in a death-defying, high-flying match unlike anything ever seen from women in WWE.

Naomi winning the Royal Rumble could set the (biggest) stage for these two charismatic stars to, firstly, blow everyone away with their showstopping ring entrances at WrestleMania 39. Once the match begins, these two incredibly agile athletes could soar all over, and above, the ring, giving the Mania audience an unforgettable spectacle. |THIS ENT + The WHIP Show
