The world over was overcome with sadness when it was reported that legendary character creator and visionary comic book writer Stan Lee passed away.
With a globally revered career that began in 1939, Lee brought us such Marvel Comics icons as Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk, X-Men, Black Panther, Iron Man, Thor, and Fantastic Four. He was 95.
Having launched Marvel with Jack Kirby in 1961, Lee is considered responsible for much of the highly touted Marvel Universe. A true icon and role model, he was the inspiration for the creation of numerous others.
According to several reports Lee suffered from a number of illnesses over the past year including pneumonia. He was rushed to the hospital Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on November 11, 2018 where he passed on.
We offer our condolences to Lee’s family, friends, fans and loved ones, and proudly express our admiration for a creative genius that made us read, watch, laugh, smile, and dream.
