The “Downtown Traffic Jam!” is a monthly series that brings a pop-up concert to the former Whipped building at Washington Square in Lansing, MI, and it usually runs from 5-6pm.

At the center of [this edition] on March 5, 2020 was a masterful display of not only the talent but the heart of what the people of Lansing have to offer. And that’s perspective.

All of the Above HipHop Academy founder and recording artist Ozay Moore accompanied the band The Corzo Effect. Together they took “Downtown Traffic Jam!” into an intimate and engaging set with powerful lyrics and infectious music.

Ozay performed songs from his album ‘In the Wake of O’ and debuted a new song that captured the essence of what it feels like to experience change in the place of origin.

The show can be described as an intimate display of how art can impact and uplift a community. The audience was diverse, patrons young and old trickled in, but once the music began it seemed as though the things that made us different only brought us together.

There is beauty in Lansing. This was a fresh take on how that beauty can be utilized to bring Lansing together. |THIS
