Hip-hop artist and event host Mr. 1204 looked sternly into the camera and shouted, “2020 ain’t gonna beat us!”
On March 27, 2020, The Bossness Monster huffed, puffed and blew a fireball that lit multiple media platforms in one night. Backed by DJ Q89, everyone with a smartphone, tablet or some form of computer was welcomed to #ROOM1204 via Facebook Live, Instagram and West Michigan radio station WUVS 103.7FM The Beat.
With this live simulcast Mr. 1204 brought the energy of weekend nightlife directly into the homes of people on lockdown due to the COVID-19 corona virus outbreak.
The only thing viewers were going to catch from this club-like atmosphere was a turned-up vibe from 1204 and infectious selections from Q89. Having fun is highly contagious.
The pair warmed up on social media with 1204 encouraging viewers to get their drinks ready while he prepped his own. Q89 gave the speakers their first shot of the night with Jay-Z’s classic “Do It Again” as they went live on the radio. “Who coming to party with the Boss tonight?” 1204 asked boisterously as viewers and listeners began to click in.
Their selections ranged from old school anthems to current club bangers, capturing a listening audience of more than 7,000 in both their West Michigan backyard and cities nationwide. Excited partiers everywhere from Grand Rapids to New York City to Atlanta lined up in the comments to request music as Mr. 1204 shouted them out for tuning in.
All of us here at THISENT.com made our own VIP sections to watch Mr. 1204 and DJ Q89 too. They gave listeners and viewers a place to go, momentarily dispelling their fears and worries with a prescribed good time. |THIS
