The March 20, 2021 edition of streaming music event VERZUZ was epic in every sense of the word.

The much-anticipated song-for-song matchup of Wu-Tang Clan icons Raekwon The Chef VS Ghostface Killah quickly and unequivocally became my favorite presentation of the series by a large, and possibly insurmountable, margin.

Two trendsetting Hip Hop heavyweights beloved around the world, Rae and Ghost are extra special to me. Their heralded classics – singles and albums – were heavily rotated during pivotal chapters of my life, especially during the very early pages on my writing career.

I’m blessed and honored to have both of these icons are on my interview resume.

Holding them in such high regards made our conversations unforgettable, and I was reminded of that while watching them during their VERZUZ set.

Their music is in my heart, my memories, and woven into the fabric of my journalism endeavors. The way I sensed it, Raekwon VS Ghostface was a career night that I enjoyed historically. |THIS.
