Negativity and selfishness gets great publicity in our social networking, indirect-contact society. You’d be led to believe the world’s running low on good people and that no one cares for or respects one another anymore. Their only concerns are themselves; and when they’re in need, no one is willing to lend them a hand without reward.
This is not the case. Kind, caring, selflessly-generous people still exist. Ashley Nell Tipton is a shining example.
An award-winning fashion designer and inspiring entrepreneur, the San Diego icon beautifies with her eyewear, jewelry and clothing lines. Tipton’s ANT and Love “You” collections offer sporty, trendy, comfortable and elegant outfits for full figured women.
The winner of ‘Project Runway’ season 14, Tipton became a designer and the face of JC Penny’s Boutique+. An established go-to artist, she went on to design for Simplicity and K&M Accessories among other top brands. While good at what she does, she’s also a good person and one who believes in helping others.
I asked Ashley Nell Tipton to tell me about a time when she did something nice for someone she didn’t know. Here’s what she shared.
“As the Corona pandemic hit, my company was already in the mask-making business and I decided we needed to make a difference.
We found a few people who were willing to risk their own lives to come into my studio and sew masks that we could donate to healthcare professionals and others working in essential services.
6000 donated masks later we are still grinding out face masks.
Even though we get incredible pictures of essential workers with our masks on, we don’t know any of these people. But we do know that we made a difference in their lives.” |THIS.
