Negativity and selfishness gets great publicity in our social networking, indirect-contact society. You’d be led to believe the world’s running low on good people and that no one cares for or respects one another anymore. Their only concerns are themselves; and when they’re in need, no one is willing to lend them a hand without reward.
This is not the case. Kind, caring, selflessly-generous people still exist. King James Worthy is a shining example.
A gifted, Grammy-nominated producer and songwriter, King James has serviced several top-selling artists including T-Pain, Fetty Wap, Robin S, and 6lack.
A notable recording himself, James invests a lot of heart and passion into his singing career. This can be felt on his acclaimed R&B albums ‘Blue Leisure’ and ‘Kaleidoscopes’. While good at what he does, he’s also a good person and one who believes in helping others.
I asked King James Worthy to tell me about a time when he did something nice for someone he didn’t know. Here’s what he shared.
“I saw someone standing on the street as we were leaving a meeting. And it was cold outside.
The person was shivering and didn’t have a place to go. So, I gave them my jacket just to make sure they were warm and encouraged them to not stand outside in the freezing cold. I told them to come inside and sit.
And, also, I was giving them words of encouragement. I was letting them know this wasn’t the end-all, be-all. Keep fighting and keep trying to find opportunities to create a better life.
Of course, sometimes that’s preaching to the choir, but sometimes people need to hear that. Things can get hard and you lose your way. You lose your faith.
That person expressed to me that was a big turning point for them. I’m happy about that.” |THIS.
