Negativity and selfishness gets great publicity in our social networking, indirect-contact society. You’d be led to believe the world’s running low on good people and that no one cares for or respects one another anymore. Their only concerns are themselves; and when they’re in need, no one is willing to lend them a hand without reward.

This is not the case. Kind, caring, selflessly-generous people still exist. Aaron Cole is a shining example.

Cole discovered hip-hop, R&B, Pop, and God at an early age. His rhymes, singing, and career have thus far been heavenly. A native of the small town of Bristol, VA, Cole’s well-paced raps and vocals have taken him to the biggest cities, performing on stages in the largest venues under the brightest lights.

Cole’s songs have incredible range, from the upbeat “There For Me” to the heart wrenching “Promised Land. His hit single “Right On Time” rocketed to #1 on the Billboard Christian Hot AC/CHR charts and his album Not By Chance is already considered by many to be a classic. While good at what he does, he’s also a good person and one who believes in helping others.

I asked Aaron Cole to tell me about a time when he did something nice for someone he didn’t know. Here’s what he shared.

“My church back in Bristol, we do this thing every year where we get together gifts for people that’s overseas that don’t have gifts for Christmas.

One year, I believe I was 13 or 14, I was just getting to that age where I started to feel that gratitude for things that I get. The gratitude of seeing that I get gifts every year and don’t even think about it.

I told my parents I wanted to give a box of my own.

When Christmas comes, I know I’m getting gifts because my parents are always there. But just to think about a kid that doesn’t get gifts every year? That’s what compelled me to do it!

I was like, ‘I just want somebody to have a good Christmas this year.’ I bought a little boy a bunch of toys and games, and a couple coats.

Just to be a blessing to somebody, that’s a lesson in itself. Letting people know that you care, verbally telling people that you love them and care about them, that stuff goes a long way.” |THIS.
