Negativity and selfishness gets great publicity in our social networking, indirect-contact society. You’d be led to believe the world’s running low on good people and that no one cares for or respects one another anymore. Their only concerns are themselves; and when they’re in need, no one is willing to lend them a hand without reward.

This is not the case. Kind, caring, selflessly-generous people still exist. Gabrielle Loren Shutter is a shining example.

An adored host, television and digital personality, the lively Gabrielle has shined for E! Entertainment, Style Network, AfterBuzz TV, Impact Wrestling, WOW! Women of Wrestling, Shein LIVE US, and HollywoodHotList.com. Gabrielle’s also co-creator of podcast Breaking Bread with Ali & Gabby. She and her co-host discuss such valuable subjects as practicing self-love, anxiety management, and strengthening connections with a higher power.

Driven to advance her career in other areas, Gabrielle has brought her entertainment, marketing, and branding experience to real estate. Her ShutterEstates.com is an authentic and enjoyable way to find a new home.

While good at what she does, she’s also a good person and one who believes in helping others.

I asked Gabrielle Loren to tell me about a time when she did something nice for someone that she didn’t know. Here’s what she shared.

“During the pandemic I decided to shift careers and moved into real estate and sales back in October. I’m not saying goodbye to entertainment and hosting, but I am working hard towards creating a business instead, where I can be in charge of my future in a larger capacity.

While creating my business in real estate, I also began working in sales in Beverly Hills at a family-owned company. Some of my colleagues have been working there for 10, 20 years. One of them is in her 80’s and she had a tough 2020.

Recently, it was her birthday and we celebrated at work with a cake. After everyone grabbed their slices and left the outdoor area we were in, I went up to her and asked her if she had a nice birthday. She turned and looked me in the eye, and said, “the honest truth, no…my husband passed away last year from Covid and I can’t see anyone, I had no one to celebrate my birthday with.”

It honestly broke my heart to hear this.

I also suffered major loss of a parent when I was younger, and I have empathy for anyone going through losing a close loved one. The difference is we’re also in a pandemic, making things a bit harder when it comes to eradicating loneliness, fear, etc. So, when she told me this, I thought to myself I have to do something about this. I have to try and do something for her to make her birthday special.

I asked some other colleagues what her interests are and got some great ideas. Then towards the end of the night one day I asked her and another colleague what they liked to do for fun when they are not at work. She mentioned crime docs, puzzles, books, etc. I went down the street after work and went into a store and found this really awesome 1000-piece puzzle.

So, the next time I saw her at work, I gave her a gift bag and card with the puzzle gift inside. I figured if she is going to have to be at home alone, and safe from Covid, but has no one to socialize with, I would give her something to do that she can enjoy by herself.

Giving her this gift made me happy, and I know it made her day too. She left me a thank you card and ever since that day she has always come to me for help, advice, etc. I sincerely love our friendship at work, and I am so happy I was able to do something for someone else in such challenging times.

When you give you also receive. Maybe not materialistically but spiritually.” |THIS.
