Negativity and selfishness gets great publicity in our social networking, indirect-contact society. You’d be led to believe the world’s running low on good people and that no one cares for or respects one another anymore. Their only concerns are themselves; and when they’re in need, no one is willing to lend them a hand without reward.
This is not the case. Kind, caring, selflessly-generous people still exist. Brian McKnight is a shining example.
A multiple award-winning, multiplatinum selling singer, songwriter and producer, McKnight’s gifts and accolades have made him a music industry icon.
One of his gifts is consistently releasing one great song after another. On that extensive list are classics “You Should Be Mine”, “Back at One”, “Crazy Love”, and “One Last”, and newer favorites “When I’m Gone” and “Nobody”.
McKnight is also famous for his crowd-pleasing live performances. His alluring falsetto has enchanted audiences in intimate venues and jam-packed arenas around the world.
While good at what he does, he’s also a good person and one who believes in helping others.
I asked Brian McKnight to tell me about a time when he did something nice for someone that he didn’t know. Here’s what he shared.
“One time I was at grocery store in the checkout line and there was a woman ahead of me.
She was checking out and it turns out that she didn’t have enough money. I could tell she was just trying to get some food for her family.
So, I paid for her groceries to make sure she could take food home to her family that day.
I don’t know who she was. I never asked her name.
I just paid.” |THIS.
