Welcome to THIS edition of GOOD QUESTION, brought to you exclusively by THISent.com! I’m your host, “Word Heavyweight Champion” Mr. Joe Walker.
Throughout my illustrious career as an entertainment writer and journalist, I’ve been blessed with opportunities to speak with many notable and famous persons. One of those is critically acclaimed jazz artist Stacy Dillard!
During our conversation I asked Cube THIS good question: Do you get nervous when it’s time to record your music?
He answered, “I used to get really nervous when it was time to record because it’s got to be right. It’s got to be perfect as opposed to a live performance.
When you’re live you’re not really worried about that. You’re not thinking; you’re just playing. You feel it, and it just comes out. It’s all self-psychology, really.
It’s a different thing when you’re performing live. You get the energy from the audience which gives me the energy to play and play better. They like it so I play more. Then they cheer more! And it keeps going and going.
As long as you’re doing it honestly in the moment it’s cool.” |THIS.
