After claiming his record-setting 7th Super Bowl victory at Super Bowl LV, sports analysts are proclaiming Tom Brady to be the greatest athlete of all-time.

Such a bold proclamation has us asking THIS GOOD QUESTION:

Is Tom Brady really the greatest athlete ever?

Tom Brady had a historic 20-year run as the starting quarterback for the NFL’s New England Patriots.

After 9 Super Bowl appearance with 6 wins, he departed New England to become the starting QB for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

In his first season with the team, and at 43-years-old, he led them from 13 years of obscurity to Super Bowl champions. This is their 2nd in franchise history and Brady’s 7th – more than any other player or franchise in history.

Since the win sports analysts have been comparing Brady to Michael Jordan, the iconic NBA Hall of Fame legend who led the 90s Chicago Bulls to a 6-0 record in the NBA Finals, doing so by remarkably three-peating twice.

Jordan recorded a season where he led the league in scoring, was the best defensive player at his position, and won MVP of the All-Star game, league, and Finals.

Brady has also drawn comparisons to 36-year-old LeBron James who has been to the NBA finals 10 times, recently winning his 4th with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Jordan retired at 40. LeBron is still going strong 20 years into his career. Brady too is not showing signs of stopping yet, but I can’t give him credit as the best athlete. I feel it would be disrespectful to other active and retired greats.

NBA player Robert Horry kept up the hardwood grind until he was 38 and won 7 championships with 3 different teams.

Boston Celtics’ marquee Hall of Famer Bill Russell, both an offensive and defensive force, played 13 seasons and won 11 championships.

Major League Baseball legend Lawrence “Yogi” Bera won 10 championships during his 19-years with the New York Yankees.

Tennis Pro Serena Williams has won 23 Grand Slam singles titles (these are in addition to doubles titles and Olympic medals) in her 25-year career. At 39-years-old, and a mother, she’s still one of the top players in the world.

Professional wrestler Allen Jones aka AJ Styles has won the WWE Championship 2 times while also having runs as IWGP World Heavyweight Champion (x2), NWA World’s Heavyweight Champion (x3), Pro Wrestling Guerilla World Champion, Revolution Pro Wrestling British Heavyweight Champion, and Ring of Honor Pure Champion among numerous other titles. Still performing at the highest full-time level of his profession at 43-years-old, Styles is considered by many notable insiders to be the very best in the business today. |THIS.
