Time travel is real. We began our annual “Reflection Q&A Interview Series” six years ago; in each one the participant recounts their likes and growth from the previous year while also sharing what to expect from them in the year to come.

THISENT.com did not exist when the pioneering “15 to 16 Q&A” debuted with another publication in 2016. The beauty of it all is that time has allowed our team to carry the series with us here today.

With that in mind we decided to share the interview with Grammy producer and engineer, composer, and Music BLVD Group founder and CEO DJ Soupa Model (Ade Olatunde) from six years ago!

Following this trip through time, we’ll share what Africa’s 1st female DJ is up to six years later. THIS is for YOU!

What was your favorite song last year?

“Hello” by Adele, “Yoga” by Janelle Monae, “Shake Body” by Skales, “Katapot” by Reekado Banks, and “Grace” by Wondaboy.

What was your favorite movie?

Creed, for sure.

What’s the television show you couldn’t stop watching?

None, actually. I don’t have time for TV. But I like to watch Empire, The Profit, and Shark Tank when I can.

What album did you play the most?

Janet Jackson’s Unbreakable.

What did you Goggle the most?

Alternative titles! [Laughs] I worked on a lot of TV shows this year, and while I need to have descriptions per track, Google comes in handy so I don’t repeat the same word over and over again.

What’s the most shocking news you heard all year?

The death of dear uncle.

Tell how you evolved over the last 12 months.

I learned to keep and maintain a business mindset and not a hustling mentality. Huge difference.

What was your biggest blessing?

My company, Music Blvd, which is a music licensing and publishing company, opened its office in LA, and closed out the year with locations in 20 countries.

What can your fans and critics expect from you in 2016?

More work in the film and TV spaces and more music productions for artists.

And forget what People Magazine says! Who was the sexiest person of the year?

[Laughs] My husband takes this award, hands down! He’s a sexy chocolate drop and more. | THIS is for YOU!
