Time travel is real. We began our annual “Reflection Q&A Interview Series” six years ago; in each one the participant recounts their likes and growth from the previous year while also sharing what to expect from them in the year to come.

THISENT.com did not exist when the pioneering “15 to 16 Q&A” debuted with another publication in 2016. The beauty of it all is that time has allowed our team to carry the series with us here today.

With that in mind we decided to share the interview with iconic stand-up comedian, actor, and media personality Rodney Perry from six years ago!

Following this trip through time, we’ll share what Rodney is up to six years later. THIS is for YOU!

What was your favorite song last year?

“Blessings” by Big Sean featuring Drake, a delightful mix of Gospel and wretched. Way up, I feel blessed… I love it!

What was your favorite movie?

It’s a tie between Straight Outta Compton and Creed. It was a good year to be Black.

What’s the television show you couldn’t stop watching?

Empire was good but for me the must-see show was Power. Well done Omari and 50.

What album did you play the most?

Can we still say “album”??!!! Anyway, let’s see… Oh, yeah; Compton by Dr. Dre and To Pimp a Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar.

What did you Goggle the most?

Trump’s toupee.

What’s the most shocking news you heard all year?

When Obama cussed out Congress. Wait… That happened in a dream I had.

Tell how you evolved over the last 12 months.

I realized that you have to operate in a since of knowing. If you know it, then everything you do can be to that end. You will not understand this unless you understand this.

What was your biggest blessing?

My family is my biggest blessing. I’m blessed on blessed on blessed.

What can your fans and critics expect from you in 2016?

Expect more greatness!

And forget what People Magazine says! Who was the sexiest person of the year?

Cookie Lyon! | THIS is for YOU!
