On a scale of 1 to 10 how happy are you to be alive?

10. What better time to be alive.

As a child what did you want to be when you grew up?

A Black Panther Party member. I wanted to protect Black people.

What was your favorite cartoon?

Robotech.

Tell us your favorite song as a kid, as a teenager, and now as an adult.

Any song by The Jackson Five as a kid, “South Bronx” as a teen.

As an adult, too many great songs out there to have just one.

What’s an album that means more to you now than it did when you first heard it?

No specific album but many of the albums that my parents listened to because I was looking for breaks to rap to or formulate into Hip Hop.

I appreciate the originals now that I’m older. It relaxes me.

What are your 3 favorite movies?

Kooley High, Beat Street, and Scarface.

What’s the last film that made you cry or almost cry, and what scene did it?

Malcom X. When he was assassinated in front of his family.

What’s your all-time favorite TV show?

It’s between Good Times and Sanford & Son.

Which character on that show do you identify with most?

James from Good Times. He was a strong Black man that was there for his family.

What makes you laugh out loud or smile uncontrollably every time you see it or hear it?

Practical jokes.

Who in your family served you the most delicious, unforgettable dish you’ve ever eaten?

My Uncle Michael made the best Beef Patties ever!

Tell us the most nutritious thing you’ve fed your mind.

Supreme mathematics.

When did you start to understand your value?

When I got Knowledge of Self.

Who is the G.O.A.T. of your profession?

Kool G Rap. He’s been consistent and thorough throughout his career.

Do you aspire to be like them or more like someone you have a stronger personal connection to?

I do but at the same time there are so many other influences. I usually feed off the best part if their message resonates with me. Steel sharpens steel.

Recall for us the first time you failed. What lesson did you learn from that?

I fail all the time. To do better next time, avoid the pitfalls, and make better decisions.

In what way have you evolved over the last 12 months?

To be a little more patient, laugh, and be more aware of the little things in life.

When was a time that someone you didn’t know did something nice for you? What did they do?

Coming home to find that someone bought groceries for us during Covid-19. An act of kindness.

How would you explain to someone the importance of valuing their time?

By going beyond their expectations and getting things right the first time.

What’s been the biggest blessing of your life?

My wife, family, Nation of Gods & Earths, and Hip Hop! |THIS.
