Mr. Joe Walker conducts THIS interview with media personality and wrestling promoter “Big Time” Rigo Flores. Here he talks creating indie promotion LEGACY and hypes their upcoming “Festival of Fights” event at The Fledge in Lansing, MI on December 13, 2019.

THIS: Your LEGACY promotion has an event on Friday December 13, 2019. Tell us about it.

Big Time: It’s called “Festival of Fights”, our first event at The Fledge in Lansing, MI! The action begins at 8:00PM, and fans will see talent they normally wouldn’t see in the area.

THIS: What should attendees expect from the “Festival” line-up?

Big Time: Pure freaking excitement! The talent [competing] aren’t from the area and people may not be familiar with them, but that’s because we’re trying to differentiate ourselves from surrounding promotions. Those chosen to come and represent LEGACY are world class talents.

THIS: What’s the main event?

Big Time: The two athletes competing against each other in the “Festival” main event will be The Soul Taker of Detroit, MI and “Toledo’s Favorite Son” Tim Horner Jr. of Toledo, OH.

THIS: Lansing’s previous professional wrestling legacy is tied to late icon The Shiek. Why should the community be excited about what’s about to happen at The Fledge?

Big Time: It’s an exciting experience watching live pro wrestling. Fans will get drama, comedy and action all rolled into a live event with real athletes bringing the entertainment.

THIS: Do you have to be a pro wrestling fan to attend?

Big Time: You do not! Just as long as you’re a fan of entertainment or being entertained then this is the place for you.

THIS: Tell us more about LEGACY and why you created it.

Big Time: LEGACY is a live pro wrestling experience. It was created with the intention of entertaining the people of Lansing. We want you to have the full experience of going to a big event right here locally and bringing in people from surrounding areas. This lets them get a feel for what Lansing entertainment looks like.

THIS: Why did you get involved with professional wrestling? Tell us about your background.

Big Time: I’ve always been too hot to handle and too cold to hold! [Laughs] I decided to get into pro wrestling back in 2008. I started off training and, also, worked at local shows doing music, as a T-shirt vendor, and eventually as a manager. From there I decided to pursue bigger dreams and began running my own promotion in 2012. After a brief hiatus from promoting, I returned earlier this year to sellout The Fledge while working as Event Producer and Head Promoter for another company where I was previously a co-owner. After quietly stepping away from that organization, I decided to create a joint venture with other companies who currently operate in the production/presentation and digital media fields. Together we will bring the best overall pro wrestling experience!

THIS: Did THIS interview live up to your “big time” standards?

Big Time: This interview went great! Usually, I’m told to not be so over the top, but I can’t help it. Life is great, God is great! You know something? You’re great! Before I leave I want to THIS message to the readers: You can do what you want. If you can believe it, you can achieve it. Set goals, come up with a plan to reach those goals, and don’t be afraid to fail along the way. If you do fall on the road to your goal, just get up, determine what went right and keep it. Figure out what went wrong and change it, reset, re-focus, and drive towards victory. Now go build your LEGACY! |THIS
