Please enjoy Part 1 of THIS interview with John Hopkins aka Cake Monster, the winner Classic Groupe’s Tekken 7 video game tournament “Fight Night Round 1” which took place on November 28, 2018 at The Robin Theatre in Lansing, MI. On that night Cake Monster became the first Moneyball Sportswear Grand Champion!
THIS: Cake Monster, how did it feel to win Classic Groupe’s inaugural “Fight Night” gaming tournament?
Cake Monster: It was great! There was some good fights and I had a really good time! I had some challenges but made it happen.
THIS: What were your expectations coming in?
Cake Monster: With a Tekken tournament you can expect anything. It’s too many characters to have a game plan for and expect it to go your way.
THIS: How long have you been playing Tekken?
Cake Monster: Since I was a kid, since Tekken 2. I’ve been playing since then; playing Tekken 3, Tekken 4, Tekken Tag.
THIS: We love Tekken Tag!
Cake Monster: Yes! Their next Tekken tournament should be Tekken Tag!
THIS: Who is your Tekken Tag team?
Cake Monster: Ooh… My team was Brian Fury and Bruce Erving.
THIS: Cake Monster, you’re good with Brian Fury. We were really entertained by you using him in the tournament. Your punch combos were chilling to watch. Are you a fan of boxing?
