A classic, and poignant, song like William DeVaughn’s “Be Thankful for What You Got” shouldn’t be remade by another singer unless they’re going to improve upon its brilliance.
Thankfully, Omar Lye-Fook has done this on “Be Thankful”.
The award-winning “Godfather of UK Soul” teamed with Erykah Badu to, arguably, create a nearly better version.
If the original is a flawless monument, this version is a high-quality picture of that monument taken with an exceptional camera.
I recommend that you check it out and read my REVIEW of The Anthology!
