All of us here at THIS ENT offer our condolences to the family, friends, and fans of Hip Hop star Black Rob.

As reported by the news, the rapper born Robert Ross suffered kidney failure, one of a string of ailments that weakened him over the past several years.

Rob passed away April 17, 2021. He was 51.

Known throughout popular culture for the smash hit “Whoa”, Rob’s 2000 album Life Story – his gritty debut for Bad Boy Records – is considered an all-time great among Hip Hop culturists who were alive and thriving during the era of its release.

Rob wrote a soundtrack for young Black men and women looking to escape, heal from, and understand the crime and unfavorable circumstances that impacted their communities.

All last week we celebrated the life and career of DMX who left us April 9, 2021. Now we say goodbye to Black Rob.
