THISENT.com was saddened to hear news that Hip Hop icon Shock G had passed away.

The founder of all-time great group Digital Underground and famous for his production, writing, and alter ego Humpty Hump, the multitalented artist born Gregory Edwards died on April 22, 2021. He was 57.

It was hard news to hear, especially following the recent deaths of DMX and Black Rob. He has, however, left us an incredible catalog of music to enjoy while honoring his memory.

Humpty, a modern variation of Parliament Funkadelic character Sir Nose, remarkably made Shock G two stars in one. It would be nice if Google took inspiration from the Gerald “G-Ride” King image above and honored the late entertainer prominently on their homepage.

We offer our sincerest condolences to Shock G’s family, friends, and fans. RIP. |By Mr. Joe Walker
