I’ve been waiting for a first look at The Flash, the Scarlet Speedster’s solo movie planned for release some time in 2022.
I finally got it thanks to the DC Fandome Livestream.
The virtual broadcast gave me a taste of The Batman, Young Justice season 4, League of Superpets, Black Adam, HBOMax series Peacemaker, and so much more. The Flash, though, was the sample I was most excited about.
Starring Ezra Miller reprising his role as Barry Allen/The Flash, the trailer features a voiceover of Michael Keaton returning to the role of my favorite Bruce Wayne/Batman form the Tim Burton movies.
The Flash is said to adapt DC comics iconic Flashpoint Paradox story acrh where Barry travels back in time to save him mother, only his actions bring about a catastrophic multiversal future.
The trailer doesn’t show much. It’s mostly drama-less, actionless clips with incredibly dramatic music. It’s nearly an epic dud if you strip the sound away.
Yet its tease of Keaton’s Batman and his Batmobile, and the ill-fated paradox, was enough to secure a ticket from my interest. |By Mr. Joe Walker
