On the October 8, 2021, episode of WWE Smackdown, the sport entertainment giant began their popular King of the Ring tournament. I’ve always enjoyed these.
In the past such legends as Booker T (King Booker, my favorite), Bret Hart, and the late great “Macho Man” Randy Savage (Macho King is a legend) have walked away from the single elimination contest wearing the regal cape and crown.
This year’s tournament favorite is Xavier Woods of wrestling trio The New Day, a performer who for several years has been vocal about wanting to win King of the Ring. I would love this. Here’s an exciting idea to follow his victory that I hope you really like.
During Woods’ coronation WBC Heavyweight Champion “The Gypsy King” Tyson Fury make his shocking return to WWE. Still fresh off his KO victory of Deontay Wilder, Fury comes out and challenges Woods for the crown.
This leads to a fun match that ends in Fury besting Woods, resulting in the Heavyweight Champion being dubbed The Gypsy King of the Ring. |By Mr. Joe Walker
