This is entertainer Nicole Byer. She makes me laugh and smile.

A well-known comedian, Nicole tours the country doing stand-up on the best stages. From what I hear, her performances are unforgettable. I’ve never been to one of her live sets. I’ve seen her on CONAN a few times. I thought she was hilarious.

Nicole’s jokes remind me of conversations I’ve had with friends. Ones where we just say anything, being genuine or silly, that makes us laugh.

An Emmy-nominated host, writer, podcaster, author, and actress, her television appearances on The Good Place, 30 Rock, and The Unicorn have all been standouts. She brightens every scene she’s in.

Nicole also hosts popular Neflix cooking series Nailed It – which is a favorite in my house – along with podcasts “Why Won’t You Date Me?”, “Best Friends” (with Sasheer Zamata), “90 Day Bae” (with Marcy Jarreau), and “Newcomers” (with Lauren Lapkus).

In addition, she is the author of #VERYFAT #VERYBRAVE: The Fat Girl’s Guide to #Brave and Not a Dejected, Melancholy, Down-in-the-Dumps, Weeping Fat Girl in a Bikini.

Funny, fashionable, attractive, and limitlessly talented, I think Nicole’s best trait is her ability to be inspiring. High spirited and upbeat, she is a role model of positive energy and self-esteem.

Nicole makes people feel good through her comedy. In these trying, challenging times so many of us could use the type of laughter she delivers.

More importantly, Nicole encourages people to accept and love themselves, and make the most of who and what they are. That makes me smile.
