In a player-controlled poll, Lansing Lightning’s #36 Dillon Kittle was voted as the PLAYER OF THE WEEK!
We sat down with Dillon to get to know him a little better while celebrating his contributions to the team.
What made you want to play semi pro football?
Well, I love sports. I love the big plays and the brotherhood that comes with it. We all get together and work hard day in and day out, working for the same goal. Can’t really get a better feeling than that.
How do you mentally prepare for a big game?
Honestly, every game I think about the what ifs, block everything out that distracts me, and try to play the best I can.
What’s your favorite moment of your career so far?
Last Saturday when I had the pick 6 for a touchdown! It’s like the whole momentum of the game changed coming out of halftime. It was just an awesome moment. Also, the team bonding at coach’s house after the home games on Saturday. It’s always a lot of fun to be a part of that.
Tell is your long-term football goal.
To become a better person day on and off the field.
Can you explain how The Lansing Lightning helps make you a better person on and off the field?
It’s the learning experience from veterans and the chemistry we’ve got. It’s a brotherhood. When I’m down in general I got a team to lift me. It just helps me think positive.| THIS is for YOU!
